About
Our Sunday Sangha is what launched Sala Dana. It started in Jim’s piso in Madrid, and follows the format of many of the Sangha groups found in the U.S. It includes a 30 minute Samatha and Vipassana style meditation, a tea break and/or a walking meditation, and a short Dharma talk. We normally end with a metta or Loving Kindness meditation. Usually there is time for Q&A and reflection.
This session is appropriate for all levels of experience.
Place: Sala Dana c/ Luis Vélez de Guevara, 9(street level, right next to the Correos post-office), 28012 Madrid (Tirso de Molina)
Sala Dana is a comfortable climate-controlled meditation hall, with plenty of practice materials available. Please remove street shoes before entering the hall.
Price: dana
We strive to follow the tradition of generosity (dana) found in Buddhism for over 2,000 years. That is, all our sessions are offered freely. If you wish, you can also practice generosity, by making a donation to the teacher or Sala Dana, or both, or not, as your heart may decide.
Many of us go for vegetarian supper afterwards.
All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
